Jenae Pitts


Jenae is passionate about helping young companies accelerate their growth through development of enhanced business processes.  She focuses on building and managing effective teams that collaboratively work toward well-defined execution plans.

Jenae spent the first phase of her career taking a dental services organization through an aggressive growth phase – from 26 to 54 offices within three years.  During her tenure, she was heavily involved in developing and improving systems throughout each facet of the business.  Her process driven focus helped the company scale quickly and exit with an industry record setting multiple while remaining a leader in quality complete care dentistry.

Jenae holds an MBA from the Simon School of Business and a BA in International Relations from the University of Denver.

When she’s not rolling up her sleeves with young companies, she loves to sail and be outdoors.

Specializes in: Quick identification of critical issues, system simplification and development, application of SMART and 4DX metrics to measure progress toward goals, and solving complex personnel challenges across varied personality types



Jonathan serves as Partner, Director at Sandhill Investment Management and has 14 years of experience within Investment Banking, Private Equity & Investment Management.  Additionally, Jonathan was the acquiring investor of Aurora Machine and established the strategy that has led to the company’s growth since 2013.

Prior to his current role, Jonathan spent the majority of his career as Vice President at Citigroup in Corporate Bond Sales and Trading.  At Citi, he advised 60 institutional clients – totaling over one trillion dollars of investable assets.  Also, along with his wife, Jonathan created, built, and sold the first health focused restaurant in Western New York.

Jonathan currently serves as the chair of the Convergence Council at the Albright Knox.  Additionally, he is a board member of the Buffalo State College and Kenmore Mercy Foundations.  He lives in Clarence with his wife, Rachel, and their three children.

Jonathan is a scientist and entrepreneur with 15 years of active involvement in early stage companies, several of which have realized a successful exit. His technical expertise spans across several industries, and includes both software and hardware systems.

Most recently, Jonathan founded, built and sold OmniEarth, a company designed to manage water table imbalances from space. His experience as both an investor and entrepreneur brings pertinent, practical wisdom to the OneTen Coalition

A proud father of two, he and his family split time between Buffalo, DC, Puerto Rico, and Sao Paulo – crying for the Bills every year no matter where they go.

Dan Greene serves as the Director of Operations at 43North – the world’s richest startup competition and economic initiative for the Western New York entrepreneurial movement.  At 43North, he runs the competition’s judging process and the incubator’s mentoring program.  He also serves as the funding liaison with New York State.

Before joining 43North, Dan was a senior associate with Buffalo’s Connors & Vilardo, LLP.  Dan litigated and helped win multiple federal jury trials as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the Western District of New York.

Dan returned to his hometown of Buffalo after 13 years away, moving between South Bend, Chicago, London, Manhattan and Miami- accumulating ideas, perspectives, and pizza recipes at each stop.  He earned both his undergraduate and law degree from the University of Notre Dame.

David Pfalzgraf, Esq.

David is a founding partner of one of Buffalo’s fastest growing law firms, Rupp, Baase, Pfalzgraf, Cunningham, LLC.  David was instrumental in building the firm from three founding members to their 45 attorneys today.

As a lawyer, entrepreneur, US Navy veteran, and avid squash player, David exudes a never quit drive that produces results and exceeds expectations.

David has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance – working with a variety of clients, ranging from closely held private businesses to large scale public companies.

As an active member of the community, David served as a Past President of the Buffalo Club, where he led a significant facility expansion.  He also serves on the Boards of Nichols School, RP Oak Hill, Ferguson Electric, and the Renaissance Foundation.  David lives in Buffalo with his wife Amanda and his 4 teenage children.

Jim Renda

Jim brings more than 25 years of global manufacturing and market development experience after a storied career at Multisorb Technologies, culminating his tenure as President and CEO. Under Jim’s leadership, Multisorb expanded rapidly and grew from a local Buffalo business into a worldwide market leader.

Prior to Multisorb, Jim was a senior executive at Hiross Inc. and also worked at Bell Aerospace Textron. Jim has a BA from Buffalo State College and an MBA from Canisius College.

Jim now invests his time with a selection of early stage companies to help them scale and drive a global impact.

Larry serves as Partner and Head of Private Client Services at Sandhill Investment Management – one of the fastest growing wealth managers in the country.  Before joining Sandhill, most of Larry’s career was dedicated to building a tax and accounting practice focused on growing businesses (Kicinski & Stolzenburg).  Larry also built a successful business valuation firm named Ellis Group, Inc. which was acquired in 2005.

Larry is passionate about utilizing his experience to help business owners grow profitably and in sustainable ways.  Larry has invested in various closely held businesses in Western New York and, in most cases, also acts as an advisor to the principals of those firms.

Rich Whitmore

Rich serves as the President & CEO of Motivair Corporation, a company focused on the design and manufacture of Mission Critical Cooling systems for the IT and Industrial market segments.  Providing a clear vision for product innovation and growth, Rich has been instrumental in fueling the company’s global expansion and continued success with some of the most prominent Fortune 500 companies.

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Rochester Institute of Technology, Rich has a deep understanding of product engineering and development, sales management and team leadership.

Along with his responsibilities at Motivar, Rich is actively engaged with helping Buffalo.  He is the chairman for the Chip In for Carley’s Club golf charity event, which benefits pediatric cancer research at The Roswell Park Cancer Institute.  Rich lives in East Amherst, NY with his wife Megan and two children.
